I'm looking for this film. My mom, Skippy, was working at Vesuvio's at the time (1959) & living at The Swiss American Hotel on Broadway. She says, people with a camera came up and asked her to say something about North Beach. She had just bailed her friend, who she had been "running around with," Bob Kaufman out of jail. She said I wish the SF cops would just leave us alone to do our thing. Bob Kaufman had been 86'd for kicking the glass windows out of The Co-Existence Bagel Shop many times & also 86'd from Vesuvio's by Henri Lenois for chaining the front doors shut. Bob said he hadn't done that one, but those were Henri's orders. A lot of interesting people, many of her friends appear in the film. She's 90 now, it would be great to play it for her, as she's never seen herself. Right after it was made, they showed it at a party somewhere in North Beach. People said, oh, man you were great! However, she's never seen it.
