A wonderfully scripted, costumed, and shot period mystery show with nods of the head to Columbo and Sherlock Holmes without being as obtuse or excessively cerebral. The costuming is truly exceptional as are the props the attention to detail is amazing. There isn't a single weak character in the regular cast. There's a reason this show has been on air for close to a decade and a half.

Lived up to all its promise. Well scripted, well acted, just all around fun.
