Really disappointed in this year’s presentation — y’all! Really? Who ARE these people? Y’all should know your audience (and CONTRIBUTORS!) better. Makes us sorry to be supporting PBS all these years. Whatever happened to the American classics, y’all? Enjoyed Chita Rivera and always enjoy the military bands and the Orchestra, but all the country and gospel stuff is for the birds! So many “performers” really butchered the songs, not at all as their composers intended them to be sung, y’all. Please, please — let’s get back to the REAL America. Youth is fine, but stop with the forced “inclusiveness,” and recognize your real supporters.
