I want to love the show because I binged all eight episodes, but Mallory’s character is doing too much! The pompous attitude with the killing, lying, and uncaring you can’t touch me RBF face gives off too much! Kimmie playing the scared dancer that semi puts the peaces to the puzzle together, but can’t intelligently use them to her advantage is giving too much “black women are dumb” vibes for me. Jules and this prostitution ring with judges that place girls and guys in servitude stripping at a club and doing ticks is just dumb, because at the end of the day a good plan could catch him slipping and he would be in the river never to be found, this is 2024 not 1992! Now, Horace is the man with ALL the money and Jules works for him. Horace doesn’t even know what Jules has been up to until Kimmie tells him, but Horace is an old rich man who secretly has found himself living out his fantasy of being with a man since he is dying and Kimmie is helping him. Horace won’t act on Jules because he doesn’t want this secret out. What pisses me off is Tyler Perry ALWAYS has to plant a male gay scene in his productions, always. This fetttish with Horace just doesn’t work! He is old, dying, spitting up blood…it is ridiculous and feels forced! Horace’s son is a married abusive drunk that request Kimmie all the time to only abusive her and take out his frustrations on her! He is a rich entitled punk and Jules beats her when he complains about her, yet he is mental and has major issues. The show needs to pull things together to make sense as it is all over the place. It has good bones, but too many things going on at once.
