where do I start? I watched Inception last week and this film doesn't have any of that 'something' that makes you think about different scenes in a film, days after you've watched it. While you felt emotionally connected to Leonardo DiCaprio's protagonist due to the his personal tragedies, the same can't be said about John David Washington. We don't know where he's come from, his background or aspirations to emotionally feel connected to him in this film. I left the cinema drained. Maybe it'll do it for you.
