The two guys that the Professor talked into going to war were too politically correct... a Black and a Hispanic.The repartee between the Senator and the reporter was too predictable. The A student was contrived.

Many scenes in almost mostly dark rooms are hard to follow. Certain dialogue is simply unbelievable, with multiple quips and pregnant pauses. The parts played by black actors were laughably stereotyped. Poor direction overall. Breaking Bad was much better. Still I watch Boardwalk Empire.

Duvall and Costner both do their standard mannerisms ad nauseam. The final gunfight .seems to take hours and kills half the town. In the end the hero gets the girl. Moves as slow as molasses. Give it 1/2 star.

Simplistic, cliched dialog. Unrealistic story. Duvall is Duvall, but a waste of his and my time. At most 1 star.

Was the opening scene of murder and house fire a result of road rage? If so, I missed it. Russell Crowe is now fat? 95% of this movie was unbelievable. I give it 1/2 star.
