SPOILERS AHEAD I have been waiting for this game ever since completing the original game in 2013. I had it pre ordered as soon as it was possible but then the leaks came out. I avoided them as much as possible but wasn’t able to avoid everything. It really turned me off to this game that I’ve been waiting years for. I decided to get the game anyways and I’m so glad I did. The world that ND built is amazing. Exploring the city filled with both people and infected is amazing. The graphics are the best I’ve seen. The gameplay is so smooth and is a massive improvement from the first one. The story is great but this is where some people complain. The game is brutal and starts off with Joel being killed brutally by a character that we hardly know. Most people don’t like how he was killed and that’s something I can agree with, however I felt an immense hatred toward Abby for it. I felt what Ellie was feeling and was excited to go get revenge. The problem is that the game tries to force you to love Abby so you can see her side of things. It doesn’t work. Even while playing as her I wanted her to die. I let Ellie kill her in their first fight. Other than trying to make us like Abby, the game was amazing. While I don’t think I’d say it has a better story than the first game, the game as a whole is incredible and I’d recommend it to anyone.
