Tom Hardy

One of Humphrey Bogart's least known films to general audiences, but one of his best. He leads an all-star cast, among them Peter Lorre, Conrad Veidt, and Phil Silvers, and the script gives them all the support they need to shine. The snappy dialogue, skilled acting, and great direction not only make it worth watching, but lend it a great deal of rewatchability.

Grace Kelly only made eight films, but she was a rare talent that made every project she was involved in a must see, and Dial M for Murder is no exception. Under the guidance of one of the world's greatest directors (Alfred Hitchcock) and opposite one of the forties and fifties most reliable male leads (Ray Milland), Kelly brings to life a tightly woven script that wastes not even one moment, every second building the tension to the final scene, like few others could. If you're looking to dive into the career of either Kelly or Hitchcock, this is a great place to start (along with the directors' infamous Rear Window, which stars Kelly opposite the equally talented Jimmy Stewart.)
