I didn’t find it boring at all. Just because the climax was at the end of the film rather than the middle, doesn’t make it a boring movie, it just means you’re impatient. The acting was well done, the daughter was supposed to be annoying and so she clearly played her role well. The movie is also in French, so if you watched it in English, it’s only voice overs, not the real actor’s voices and the emotions they put into the original. The “horror” genre this film is also isn’t ghosts and jump scares like you’d usually associate with the word “horror,” it’s more of a disturbing and shocking film to watch with cruelty thrown in there.
