Mike Burkle

Tries to dance the line between being accurate to the anime and being approachable for new fans. I think it does a good job at both but I'm not a die hard fan of the original. It has some great shot for shot scenes and gives all the vibe of the anime so it's solid there. It does change the story around a bit which makes sense when trying to get new fans, but I can see how it alienates others. Still has the issue the anime had with me which is no real closure on a story episode to episode and it jumps around a bit. If you're looking for a show to pick up every episode where the last left off, you're not going to be a fan, but if you can see the big picture and follow along it is well worth it.
