in HighD(re-mastered apparently),this film looks great! no women unfortunately, but among today's technology, it passes inspection (no pun) as far as battle scenes, which manage to entertain. turn it up and hear the Tommy guns and other artillery!. I caught it on TV,and it looks fantastic! 60 years, and it looks like it was shot yesterday. I suppose it wasn't easy re-creating the famous destruction of the 109. today, it'd be done w/ CGI. but anyway, James Gregory is among my personal favorites among character actors. Cliff Robertson does a terrific job as JFK,(I think he purposely avoids the Boston accent, which may have been wise). Robert Blake looks like a child,at 30,and does a great job as 'Bucky',firing the heavy artillery.

it was a dark mess. a MOB film for Halloween, maybe. it starts off loud, volume wise and visually. loud OVER acting by minor characters we never see again. then it finally settles down a bit, but never gives us a story. to his credit, the main character Gio, is dressed and ready for a mob film, but they don't give him one. I'm thinking that the first 9 years of this ''anniversary'' of his Dad's death had great cake by his Mum, then on the 10th, she poisons the cake for revenge served cold. there .I just wrote a better film than this.

love GUNSMOKE big time, but what I want to know is, why do 2 episodes about 3 weeks apart (when first run)during or around Doc's absence (which may be unrelated) feature a calendar reading March 27? Buck Taylor(Newly) is in both scenes.and they are in the same season, I think. I'm going nuts trying to find out what the ''inside'' joke ,or message is.the first one is when Newly's shop is blown to bits nearly killing him. it's Pat Hingle's first show subbing for Milburne Stone.the second one is I think, just after Doc Adam's return, when Newly realizes his potential love intertest is a sort of con woman.he arrests the fine looking woman.it's done so the viewers will see it clearly. March 27.like a ''today is'' thing.
