I really loved the movie; but, I haven't seen it for decades, and it was re-run at that time. Very touching, nostalgic story. May have influenced our choice at the Humane Society Kennel in Tucson. Best dog ever! Courageous, clean and comfortable with people and other dogs. April used to ride in a basket on the back of my bicycle. She was quite famous in Okinawa when we were stationed there.
