When reading this book I felt it provided a lot of thought provoking thoughts. It does a great job of pointing out the amount of misinformation that is out there concerning food.
However, I was disappointed to find that the book contained its own misinformation. In the section concerning meats, Dr. Hyman talks about DES implants in cattle leaving a carcinogen residue in beef. DES implant were banned and taken off the market in the 1970s!!!
Unfortunately that raised a level of concern about the accuracy in the rest of the book.
