Away is smarmy and gets the science and technology wrong way too often. It's preachy and feels inauthentic at too many turns. The drama elements have their moments, and the budget for over the top effects must have been pricey, but damn does the plot drag. As a whole, Away is meh at best. Mars is a much better real world space exploration show.
