Main characters have plot armour and make stupid decisions throughout but it just works out due to plot armour do not watch do not waste your time and do not recommend.

Watch the anime series as it's so much better than the movie. The manga is great as well
Death note is my favourite manga and series the movie however falls short as is extremely terrible with a massive plot hole that the book and series don't have.
