Squiggly Line

Kinda ok, I guess. I mean I watched the whole thing. Weird cheesy scene with an emo sniper. Another cheesy scene where their executions are done with a machine gun, wasting all the bullets on blindfolded captives. Others like these.

Pretty bad but I couldn't bring myself to drop it to one star, I reserve that for atrocities. It's got great actors. Gale Boetecker plays the same role as he does in Lone Survivor. Jim gets on my nerves as an actor but i know everyone else likes him so I must be wrong on that. The movie starts with a series of pointless scenes and cliché "movie" scenes that add nothing to the story (or tell you the area is hostile in a really long drawn out way. Annoyingly drawn out.) The movie proceeds to tell the story in a really boring way.

I thought it was really good. It had my attention in the non-action portions which is usually a good indicator. Lots of good actors & good acting. From what I hear it's pretty factual too. Which makes it even better.

The first red flag for me was the "I f'ing hate people" line. The next was the seemingly padded run time of an already 2.5 hour movie (so why drag it out?). It was worse from there, found out later the Obamas had a hand in it? Not sure if that's true. Anyway woke, racist garbage. Slow. Boring.
