I think it's bold, daring and timely. It's great to see a predominantly colored cast handle sci fi, horror and magic with the right amount of awe, disgust and dread. The tension is palpable. I think it's not everyone's cup of tea. The racial element apparently has a lot folks up in arms but I'm fine with it. I like it when people are uncomfortable and this show has just enough to do that. I want to see more material like this. Hopefully HBO will renew it for another season.
