I took Dr Moore’s book with me on vacation to use in my quiet time. Who woulda known it would become a beach read for me! Once I began to read about her childhood in my own hometown, I couldn’t put it down. Yvonne and I are the same age and grew up in segregated Memphis. I’ve often wondered what it was like for my African American sisters to grow up in that time and was fascinated by Yvonne’s perspective. No bitterness or resentment…..thank you, dear friend.
