The best of new Trek. As good as Discovery and Picard have been, SNW takes things a step or three beyond them, finding a way to infuse a modern Trek show with the ineffable charms of the original series. Episodic, but with long-running character arcs, SNW has so far produced exemplary Trek tales, buoyed by terrific performances and first rate visual effects. The SNW cast is incredible and the characters, both old and new, are enjoyable and engaging. May this show live long and prosper.
