this game takes the original made by Matt Burtch and steps it up to a whole new level. EV is often referred to as the Grandfather to Eve Online (the MMO released in 2003 and still going strong today). the breth, depth, and scope shows why it stands in such high regard. unlike Override that was based off a mod from the original - this game has all new engine and interface. the ships can turn slightly in the 2D space; giving a more modern feel to the space flight. The story lines are many and each one being as Epic as the next. well written and well executed. good pacing with surprises around every corner. there are lots of littler Easter eggs for those fans of the previous games. the company itself went under just a couple years ago. I had used their software for decades on our macs. i think covid was the last straw for them. this game was also ported to PC. there are mods out there that allow the PC version to also run the OG EV and EVO so you can experience it nearly the same as back in 1995. there are slight differences but the core of the game is there.
