I rarely walk out of a movie, yet I was looking forward to this film. I found it repetitive, childish, and I felt kind of insulted by being offered such rubbish. The original premise was unbelievable and plain silly. However that starting dummy spit became the vehicle for the whole film. The dialogue seemed to continually repeat the same thing and the range of vocabulary extremely limited. The humour was mostly laboured with some notable exceptions. The entry of theme of self harm proved too much for me. I truly cannot understand the enthralled, adoring critics' reviews. I feel like pointing out " The Emperor has No Clothes" This is a film that abuses our intelligence.

Didn't succeed for me in what it set out to do. The conflicting emotions and demands of contemporary motherhood, womanhood and identity make for very worthy analysis and storytelling. However, I felt this film too slow, laboured, and at times lost its way. I don't like to think i get bored in movies, but have to confess i got bored. I wanted to tell the cast "I get it" but too many close ups, and repetitive flashbacks bogged it down. Sorry. I'm bewildered by the total acclamation with nerry a whisper of any aspect that might have been lacking.
