This is a perfect, chronological examination of every engagement at Gettysburg. His maps are clarity itself, and evolve as the battle does. It is also ties in soooo many of 'those little things' we all know but can't quite place. Dismissing himself as an historian, Kunkel calls himself a 'splainer', and 'splain' he does. JUST PLAIN EXCELLENT, and central to my library.
