It was as poor as expected. Aside from not taking on the story from the historically loved original movie, this movie as a standalone was just flat out boring and had no love put into it. The overall plot was nothing original and exactly as expected, which considering they weren't following the original is why that's just sad. The acting all around was just cringe and lacked substance. If they didn't want to use actors with dwarfism in the movie, which I think was our taste not too do, they could have at least used good CGI and make the characters feel like they had more personality. I tried going in with an open mind and was still disappointed.
