It had politics in it: inheritance; welfare vs working; home inspection; and home warranty, all covered within the an alien invasion. Funniest movie of the year, I don't think so. I would have been happy with just stupid funny.
You know the trivia things they put up on the screen prior to the movie that are all multiple choice, then they showed two black actors and said what movie are they in, "Sinners". Come on, I'm white and even I know that had a racist tone.
