One of my absolute favourite cartoons of all time. People say how the graphics are ugly, but I think that's a stupid argument because, 1. It's called butt ugly martians for a reason, if it wasn't ugly, then it would be completely missing the point, that's like ordering a spicy meal & then complaining because it's spicy, I know those are 2 completely different things but you know what I'm trying to say. 2. It was made in 2001, the technology was still new, & don't say "well Toy story was in '95 that looks 10x better", Pixar are power house gods, giant beasts when it came to the hardware, whereas the people who made this were just a small, barely known company who just wanted to make a little kids cartoon. And 3. It's a show set in the future that has aliens in it & is called butt ugly martians, wouldn't you want it to look strange, & besides, it suits it & it's got a charm to it. Another complaint that people had is the fact that is was silly...... well I mean, it is a kids show at the end of the day, & kids find anything funny. The fact that the plot is about the martians living with peace on earth is in my opinion one of the best messages in cartoon history, we need to encourage more shows like this. Every character is done perfectly. If you hate this show because of the voices, characters, music etc. That fine, but hating it because of the graphics is not really fair because it was a project of it time, yes I know it's aged but this show had a lot of underrated potential. & the theme song is one of the best songs I've ever heard, I don't care what anyone says, I could listen to it all day on a loop. It's catchy, everything rhymes & the instruments in the backgrounds are great.
