I have loved Mulan ever since I was a young kid. She was always my favorite story retold by Disney and I loved the real legend and had a ton of interest in Chinese history growing up. I was really looking forward to this movie and held a watch party with a bunch of friends. I made the mistake of paying for it the day it came out on Disney+. Needless to say, every single person at the party stopped watching the movie halfway through and didn't give it a second thought. We all started doing anything that was more interesting; talking, playing on our phones, etc. I was heartbroken but what can you do? When the credits finally rolled, the feeling was more like, "finally..." They shouldn't have messed with something that wasn't broken. Was Aladdin made to be this boring? No, so why did they have to do this?
