Season 3 of The Orville attempts to boldly go where it wasn't needed. More drama, less jokes, subpar writing, and tropes beyond the eye can see. And we're only two episodes in. The special effects budget looked like it all went into making the inside of the Orville and other Planetary Union or Alien ships look nice but not much else. The props, as always, are on point but with scify level sfx don't expect much. Also if you ever want to be a cast member for the show apparently all you have to do is date Seth MacFarlane.
