Finally a family friendly movie where the directors intentions were entertainment and not to teach you some political lesson. It had no agenda, no political stance. They went with the basic formula of a well written script and classic humour and it worked.
Of course they cast Timothee, which was also one of the main reasons it was so enjoyable.
They havenโt made a classically good movie like this in awhile and I loved how they captured the feeling to childish dreams and wonder which is what Willy Wonka is all about.
