Kelley Kemmis – Google

I actually really enjoyed the movie but I feel this movie would be a 4 for your average movie goer. I go to most movies that are released in theaters and truly appreciated how different this movie was from many other releases. Go to this movie if you want some good laughs, great fight scenes and a movie that takes time to bring in a barrage of characters to build a story that will have more layers than you can keep track of while watching the movie. Maybe you can keep track and I'm just getting old. I can promise you will walk out and think to yourself that you have not watched a movie like that and it was definitely different. You will be satisfied if this is what you are wanting. You might not like the movie if you are expecting your typical action movie or are just watching to gaze at Brad Pitt. The uniqueness/weirdness of the movie might be a turn off but at least you can say I warned you.

No spoilers: I really enjoyed this movie. I do feel it moves a little slower versus similar movies. I also believe that was part of the movie to help the watcher connect in a way they might not have. Like most movies, you do need to suspend reality to a certain point. If movies were absolutely true to reality they would be quite boring in my opinion. Overall, enjoyed the fact it was based on modern situations. I also feel like this movie encompasses the brotherhood that is created by those that go to war together. Great movie and I highly recommend.

No spoilers I really enjoyed this movie because I felt it was a new take on a similar concept of movies we have seen before. I still consider myself young but I did not grow up on technology and will forever have a disconnect with the younger generations that have. This movie does a great job of showing what a different world we live in. I loved how the young girl used what she knew to find solutions. Great twists and it is only completely unrealistic if you have no grasp on how technology works these days.

Don't let the abundance of 1 star reviews stop you from seeing this move. You seriously have people giving it one stars because they were appalled by the amount of plastic surgery that was done or it was cheap laughs and predictable. The fact that the movie was cheap laughs and predictable is the best part. I really feel they did a great job following up the first movie. They stayed true to their characters as they enter on another great journey and you learn more about them. This movie is everything that trailer shows you and that is all I needed. I will be at the theaters if they do a third because I love this group of ladies. Diane Keaton rocks and I adore how she has embraced her nerdiness and I can't get enough.

No spoilers: You are getting pretty much what you would expect from the trailer. This is a movie that I go into expecting a stupid/funny movie. These types of movies only work in my opinion if you can maintain the funny part throughout the move. I personally felt that did a good job of keeping it funny in the first half but I feel it disappeared as the movie went on and that is why I gave it 3 stars. I got exactly what I expected from the trailer with a slight let down on the funny.

No spoilers: Great movie and very refreshing considering most movies put forth these days. I truly believe the low ratings are from people who didn't understand the movie. I feel like this movie is what I hoped Tenet would have been. Unfortunately, I was not smart enough to understand that movie. Hypnotic has hints of Inception due to the complex nature of the movie and the layers it has throughout. I can't wait to watch it again now that I know the premise of the movie. You need to like complex movies and you need to be able to suspend reality to truly enjoy this movie. If you can do both, I am almost certain you will walk away satisfied.
