This show was not just a Saturday morning kids show. After hundreds of thousands of 20 year olds came home from a night of clubbing in NYC till 4 am we watched his show on CBS. The 80’s were the best years to live. NYC was really alive with the best music dance clubs with the greatest live bands and Musical Artists. You could walk through the streets of NYC after leaving a Club totally Safe at 3am and go to an all night restaurant that never seemed to close. Pee Wee fit right into that era where you could just laugh and get all the adult humor mixed into what people thought was a kid’s show. He really was a genius! I’m 66 years old now with a wonderful Wife of 33 years,children and Grandchildren. I am extremely fortunate to have lived in that era and many times remember and Laugh about the Stuff that Pee Wee got away with before the time when Cable Channels came into being.
