I started reading the reacher books last year and have gotten through the entire series in that time loving every one. Normally I find I can't put the book down or have to listen to a further half hour of the audiobook even when I'm finished driving. I've gotten 20% through this one and have had to give up. I was initially struck by it being in first person, for me the Reacher books were an escape I am not jack reacher. Being in first person made this thought a bit jarring. Having read other reviews I have to agree that the short sentence structure also makes it challenging. Very different to previous books and I think sadly this is where my year along addiction has to end. Thank you to Lee Child for entertaining me this year.
