This show is great! I love the representation, and each character is actually relevant to the plot.
My problems:
The last season (season 5) felt super rushed. The ending with Catra and Adora was too sudden. I feel like if they had more time to bond and make up it would be better. Plus, I think the battle between horde prime was too easy. He destroyed a LOT of planets and literally has a whole cult of smart, deadly robots. It shouldn't have been so easy.
If season 5 had more episodes or shots in each episode showing Catra and Adora slowly build their relationship again it would be great since they literally spent all the previous seasons trying to kill each other.
And maybe some episodes showing some of horde prime's vulnerabilities. Horde primes weaknesses would be easy to write, knowing that he's too powerful or old and relies on his robots/technology to do everything for him.
Positives:
I love the representation we got in this show! I like how they atleast had a few straight couples throughout the show and didn't make everyone gay just for the sake of it. Especially when Glimmer and Bow got together. This show also doesn't make a queer characters personality just queer. Each character seems to have an interesting backstory. Although it it clearly targeted towards a mainly young, queer audience, I feel like if you're an adult or teen and enjoy these types of nostalgic princess cartoons, it's just right for you.
Note: Glimmers character development is amazing and every character is well written.
