Lots of twists and turns, but right from the start there was a glaring sleight of hand that would never have happened in real life which set the stage for al the ensuing events. And that is that there is no day care, preschool, etc. that would ever allow a child to be picked up by someone who was not on a designated list to do so. Without that being glossed over, the entire plot can never happen. Since the series was about parental responsibility, it rang hollow that the school’s negligence was never even discussed as an issue.

It was so painful and full of hideous stereotypes. Couldn’t even make it through twenty minutes. In one of the opening scenes, the shiksa fiancée offers to cut up a watermelon. She is admonished by the Jewish mom that the knife is “milchdic”, intimating that it can’t be used. But that is absurd. Fruit is neither dairy nor meat, so why can’t a dairy knife be used to cut it? Would it have been an occasion to use the meat knife? Pass on this loser.

I knew most of the true elements of the story and was disappointed that trump was depicted as a much more sympathetic character than he really is. His numerous business failures/bankruptcies were glossed over. Details that truly portrayed him as a boob were changed. For example, he did not meet Ivana at an exclusive club. He met her at Maxwell’s Plum, a notorious meat market on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He wasn’t wearing a Brioni suit, rather a three piece burgundy suit with matching shoes. When Roy Cohn got AIDS, trump abandoned him. Cohn said “ Donald pisses ice water”. Instead of using that line, the film shows trump holding a birthday party for him at Mar a Lago. Which never happened. There were many other mischaracterizations. What the point was in changing the truth is incomprehensible
