I first heard of this movie/tv show through a certain youtube video, and I have since fell in love with the world of the dark crystal.
The plot of the original movie can be confusing, and it often tries to bite off more than it can chew, but if it's nothing a little exposition can't fix.
I suggest watching the Netflix series first, where the 1982 movie is also located.
