I realize this movie won't be for everyone. But if you enjoy contemplative movies that are mostly character-driven, I think you'll enjoy this. There are some cool visuals and concepts, but the movie is definitely about what it means to be human. The main character starts off in a highly compartmentalized, closed off place. He's unable to connect with the people around him or really feel the emotions that are under the surface. The movie shows his emotional and psychological evolution as he comes to realize truths about himself and let himself feel again. Assisted by a beautiful score from Max Richter (whose music always makes me FEEL), and Brad Pitt's impressive micro-expressions, the movie takes you on a poignant and meaningful journey that helps you appreciate the beauty of other people and the point of living..
