@Bryan Davis: I seriously hope you were being sarcastic. These characters can't even express themselves without using the word "like" 10 times in one sentence. Can someone please explain the purpose of this show? It's pedantic and shallow, a big boring disappointment.

This story hits home like a punch in the stomach. The agony, the injustice, the sick racism inflicted on indigenous people is so skillfully and graphically laid bare. Very dark and difficult to watch, but that is exactly why we all need to watch it. Thank you for helping me understand.

I wanted to keep checking the time, hoping for it to be finally over. To be fair, it has its moments which ring true, and are very touching, and some of the culture displayed in Italy and India is fascinating. Also, there are pearls of wisdom that ring true, but they can be found more painlessly in Hinduism and Buddhism than by sitting through this incredibly long, drawn out, and frankly, boring journey.
