I loved that this film is so unconventional and difficult to watch. I laughed my ass off. Cage and the cast of locals are brilliant. I think being Australian helped immensely with seeing this as a brilliant dark comedy. Sound track perfectly complimented the humour. Even the darker social commentary of toxic male culture turned - momentarily - into a parody. Reminded me of the Aussie classic “Wake in Fright”. I can imagine non Australians not getting into it. For me, it is a cult classic of the 21st century worthy of high praise in a prevailing culture of increasingly empty and annoying film making.
