A great British TV drama, exceedingly watchable and by and large free from diversity box ticking which is a refreshing change for the better.

Really enjoyed it, great characters as always with Dickens. The moment when David’s school master, the brilliant Ian McCellen gives David the news of his mother’s death is pure genius. Sad but hilarious 🤣

Heavily over scripted, massive over acting and Renee Zellweger constantly changing her facial expressions, became very annoying after a while. Not a patch on the earlier ones. Left after 30 minutes.

Simon Brierly just now Probably one of the worst films I’ve ever seen.So bad it’s outrageously funny. The real star is Michael’s hat which shines amongst some terrible acting. The screenwriting is appalling with cliche after cliche. It’s undoubtedly a vanity project to show Micheal in the very best light, camera angles set to show those endless gazes into the distance. The fight scene at the end is like something from Monty Python, absolutely hilarious. If you want a laugh, watch it.

Watched this on a long haul flight. All the actors, looked as though they were acting. Very predictable and not scary.
