I don’t even know where to begin with this, first of all the name choice? Absolutely garbage. If they actually took the time to read the novel they would know that one of the most important parts of his character is being a ‘reader’, and to see his character getting dumb down to just another ‘hero’ is disappointing to put it nicely. Another thing is how they changed his character? No Kim Dokja didn’t hate TWSA that was the book that kept him living for so long, a book created solely for him. Even after it ended in that way he still thanked the author, BECAUSE FOR THE LONGEST TIME IN HIS LIFE THAT BOOK WAS ALL HE HAD. That book was his salvation. And don’t even get me started with yoo sangah’s, how they literally butchered her whole character. She’s an assassin not a HEALER? Her whole character is about fighting against stereotypes that have been put on woman, even before the apocalypse she fought for herself. Shes such an amazing character and to see her being put into a stereotype is so upsetting. And LAST thing why is Kim dokjas favourite character jung heewon, the more you read into this ‘LA’ the clearer it becomes that they didn’t even read the novel. Jung heewon is an amazing character but she wasn’t even inn twsa she appeared in the novel and having her as the main character just doesn’t even make sense. This just strips away from so many moments she had inn the novel where she worried about not being in the future with her companions, how she desperately fought to keep up. And how YJH isn’t the main character? That’s one of the MAIN parts of the book, taking away that is equivalent to taking away the spine of a book. I do not recommend this LA to anyone really, it’s done so horribly and mischaracterised and butchered the whole novel. Take the time to read the novel and actually appreciate the wonderful peace of fiction the author wrote instead of this garbage.
