It's an incredible movie for kids (though the rating went up to PG because of a few small scenes, which they could have left out tbh) but it's too different from the books. Don't get me wrong I like the movie, but compared to the books, it's dumb. Like, how the heck is a child fighting a dragon? Just go read the books.
