Moving coming of age story about a young woman who is awkwardly pulled apart by two cultures' models of womanhood: the model from her native culture sacrifices women's dignity to tradition and patriarchy, and the model from her host culture sacrifices women's dignity to sensationalism and over-sexualization. In the end, she finds happiness by rejecting both models. Dismiss the faux outrage by all of these haters who haven't seen this very worthwhile film.
