I am normally not one for suspense or psychological thriller movies. Considering the fact that only three people really were ever on screen at one time I was surprised how well it kept my attention. Certainly worth the money!

I liked this movie better when it was called the Lion King. I was able to get past some of the pretentious, overwrought beginning. However, when the Norseman were doing a Viking line dance around a fire, and along with their grunting I found myself humming the Oompa Loompa song, in rhythm… I knew we were in trouble. There was probably about an hour of plot that was good. There were some genuinely nice moments. Some nice scenery. But the acting… I think Bjork was just playing herself, lol… and I think the younger actors did a great job… … but I think the older ones just took the paycheck. Kidman and Defoe were alternately chewing up the scenery. And top it all off, the main character wasn’t even that likable. Don’t waste your time, unless you finished playing assassin’s creed Valhalla and you just need to relive a few of those key moments.
