For the first time in a long time I immersed myself in a film in public, at the movies. The cast, especially Scarlett, Channing Tatum, Ray Romano, Woody Harrelson, Jim Rash, Anna Garcia, others! was a dream cast, everyone so good and perfect together. I was a young child at the time of the story and it evoked great memories of a time when families watched important events on television together and Americans were openly interested and proud of accomplishments like our space program. Science and technology weren’t taken for granted. Meshing the storyline with real events including actors playing the astronauts made this a great way for me to spend a few hours. It’s one of a small handful of movies I’d watch again.
