I went expecting the movie to be more tech and visual savvy - like old vs new blade runner and was surprised how similar it was to the original. However, my friend with me hadn’t seen the original so they were awestruck of the world that had been created and it gave me a different view of the movie. It was actually good to see a few of the weirder aspects taken out this time round..Harkonen dark sexuality content and weird flying spice guild etc..so really the director did a great job keeping it dark enough but edgy it was just as wow this time round. The mentat could have been immersed more and the Duke vs Jessica love story was missed, but overall a fabulous movie and I am sure will charge up a whole new cult following this time round as well.
