SPOILERS!!!!
The 2022 Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie produced by Netflix is by far the worst addition to the franchise. This film not only lacks any type of character development/depth, but also is just a repeat of all the other movies (done worse of course). The movie starts by introducing us to Jacob, Sarah, Lila, and Ruth who are a group of social media influencers looking to turn an abandoned town into a new safe space for "their vision of the future". After spotting a confederate flag hanging from a building, Jacob enters the now known abandoned orphanage with Sarah (copy+paste of every other movie). One thing leads to another and the lady that ran the orphanage (leatherface's mom) ends up being rushed to the hospital because of the now unenjoyable and bipolar main characters. Skipping forward pasts a few kills, Letherface's town is now taken over by a bunch of beyond irrelevant social media users whos main purpose is to get cut up. After more shallow and boring dialogue, Letherface slashes everyone in the bus which leads into the return of Sally played by Olwen Fouere. To be brutally honest, she sucked so much. Her one job was to kill letherface and she couldn't even pull the trigger at point blank. Nothing relevant happens after she arrives other than her and Sarahs death at the end of the movie. 3/10 movie
