Much as I liked the story, I felt that Shailene Woodley and Joe Alwyn were miscast. As actors they showed little emotion and no chemistry and while the script tells us one story, their acting left me wanting to believe them . I only believed Ben Cross and the actress who played the older Jennifer who really convinced me they loved each other. I never believed those letters were written by the younger B.Also, I can't believe that their first night of lovemaking would be up against a wall in the back of a club in London. How unromantic and impersonal. After all they went through to be together. Sorry to disagree with all the other review writers but I really tried to love this movie.
