A Midsummer Night's Dream is an engaging and fast-paced read, if not a bit frustrating at times. Contrary to popular belief, Shakespeare didn't use "Old Elizabethan English", and actually wrote in the same modern english that we use today. He invented over 3,000 words and made great contributions to our world. This play is one of his greatest creations, filled with humor, magic, intrigue, and love. The negative reviews of this play are closed-minded and not in proper english. The incorrect grammar particularly confuses me, because of the fact that google is online. Therefore, spellcheck marks mistakes in all of these reviews, and there is no excuse. I understand that you may have to reread sentences a couple times before you can discern the meaning, use No Fear Shakespeare to get a second opinion, or simply google word definitions. But surely everyone online writing reviews is capable of doing this, seeing as we are ONLINE. Despite one angry review, this is not a "boomer" book, and as a fellow member of Generation Z I expect more from my peers. Perhaps you should utilize the many resources around you before quitting on one of the greatest literary works of all time.
