Finally, Star Trek comes home to its roots. I had almost given up on Star Trek newer serieses. But this had a feel that humanity had overcome our weaknesses and through courage and determination, humans could achieve almost anything. It definitely has its flaws but bringing back that sense of exploration and command of the ship was paramount. Character development was paced well and not too overwhelming. If the rest of the series is as good as the first, then it will do well. Hopefully, the convoluted stories and eye candy of the other series are behind us.
