Saturn Soul

When I saw this book at my local library, I was so excited to see a book representing trans youth. As a trans man myself I was looking forward to reading it but was greeted with a book so clearly written by a cis woman. The trans woman is sexualized constantly throughout the book, and that is disgusting. It completely takes the spotlight away from trans authors. The author has no idea how trans people work and it shows. It made me so uncomfortable and at the time I forced myself to enjoy it, thinking I should be grateful I'm getting representation at all. Overall I would not recommend reading this book. If you want books about trans people written by trans people, this is not the one for you.
