Brilliantly articulated book. The book teaches you a lot of things about the wonders of human memory without being preachy. It was a fun journey into the history and art of the human memory that coexisted with Joshua’s Journey to winning the title of the US Memory Championship. The book had its own humorous punches along the way. It’s packed with some deep insights . I was intellectually stimulated throughout , except the part where it delved into the history of memorising too deeply but overall, it was written in an extremely engaging way. As much as I liked the plot I would’ve appreciated if the cinematography , direction , set design and editing would’ve justified it. The cinematography was so bad that it gave me icks throughout the series. The editing in the last scene when they almost thought that Pia is dead was extremely cringe , we know what’s gonna happen next already why create a delayed suspense with such cringe b&w transitions. It’s a bad product of filmmaking.
